We watch the filings
Every 15 minutes we scan SEC EDGAR for new Form 4 insider disclosures on your list — and flag clusters of 3+ insiders trading within a week.
You get the alert
AI turns the raw filing into one clear sentence and it lands in your Telegram. Open the dashboard for filters and history.
Not every insider trade means the same thing
Nortis classifies every filing by its SEC transaction code, so you can tell a conviction buy from a routine tax sale at a glance.
An insider spending their own cash at market price. Widely considered the strongest positive signal — especially when large relative to their salary.
Insiders sell for many reasons (diversification, houses, taxes). One sale means little; many insiders selling together is worth attention.
3+ insiders at one company transacting within 7 days. Coordinated conviction — Nortis flags it automatically on every alert.
Converting stock options into shares. Often routine compensation mechanics rather than a market view.
Shares granted as compensation, at no cost to the insider. Not a purchase decision — we label it so you don't mistake it for one.
Shares surrendered to cover taxes on vesting stock. Looks like a sale in raw data — Nortis tells you it isn't a discretionary one.
Straight from the regulators
No second-hand feeds. Every alert links to the original document so you can verify the source yourself.
SEC EDGAR — United States
Form 4 insider disclosures from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, typically filed within two business days of the transaction. We parse the official XML: insider, role, transaction code, shares, price, value, and dates.
LSE RNS — United Kingdom
PDMR dealing announcements from the London Stock Exchange's Regulatory News Service. UK alerts are always labelled separately from SEC data. Currently in preview while we finalize a licensed feed.

Frequently asked questions
Is insider trading data legal to use?+
Yes. Insiders are legally required to disclose their trades to the SEC (Form 4) and, in the UK, via RNS. This is public regulatory data — Nortis just delivers and explains it faster.
How fast are the alerts?+
We scan for new filings every 15 minutes. Most alerts arrive within minutes of the filing appearing on the regulator's site.
What is a cluster alert?+
When 3 or more insiders at the same company transact within 7 days, we flag it. Coordinated insider activity has historically been one of the stronger sentiment signals.
What exactly is a Form 4?+
A Form 4 is the document US company insiders (officers, directors, 10%+ owners) must file with the SEC within two business days of trading their company's stock. It states who traded, what, how much, at what price, and under which transaction code.
What is a PDMR / RNS alert?+
In the UK, Persons Discharging Managerial Responsibilities (PDMRs) must announce their dealings through the London Stock Exchange's Regulatory News Service (RNS). Nortis labels these UK alerts separately from SEC data.
Why does the filing date differ from the transaction date?+
Insiders trade first and disclose after — US rules allow up to two business days. Every Nortis alert shows both dates so you know how fresh the information really is.
Does insider buying guarantee the stock will go up?+
No. Insider activity is one signal among many, and past patterns don't guarantee future performance. Nortis gives you the facts fast; the interpretation and the decision are yours.
Do you give investment advice?+
No. Nortis reports and summarizes public filings. We never say buy, sell, bullish, or bearish. What you do with the information is entirely your decision.
How do I cancel?+
Anytime, from Settings → Billing. Your Pro features stay active until the end of the paid period, and your data remains intact if you downgrade to Free.
